I am participating in a program with some friends where we are committing to making one simple change each month over the next 12 months so that after a year we will have made 12 healthy lifestyle changes that will (hopefully) continue on for a lifetime.
Mine is to drink 1/2 of my body weight each day in ounces, or more now that its hot, so that I will have more energy, allow my body and systems to function properly, and to help me shed excess toxins and weight.

One thing that I do before I go to bed at night is to fill a glass of water and set it on my bedside table just in case I need some water in the night. When I wake up the next morning, I make sure to drink whatever is left in the glass since my body has gone without water for the past 7-8 hours. So usually before I even get out of bed when I wake up I have had at least 8-12 oz of water to start off right.
