If you are struggling with your balance and are not sure where to start, I highly recommend you take a moment to look at your feet and then assess your breathing. These two things will help you have better balance.
Not what you thought I would say, right?
First, your feet are your foundation. Just like a house needs to be built on a solid foundation, so must a body be stacked over the feet properly and if your feet have been shoved into shoes for an extended period of time than you have lost one of the main communications with your brain. Your feet are a sensory organ that helps to let your body know where it is in space by feeling the ground, so I would recommend you take your shoes off for a bit and just allow them to feel the floor or ground a bit.
Second, pay attention to your breathing. Your core is your center and if you are not strong in your core, than you may be off balance. Your breathing helps to connect your diaphragm to your pelvic floor and when they are working in conjunction with one another they will affectively strengthen the core without all the extra sit ups that so many people do.
